This article is your step-by-step guide on how to create your challenge from a prompt-like subject

Updated over a week ago

Hey there!

This article is your step-by-step guide on how to create your challenge from a prompt-like subject.

Step 1: Choose Your Subject and Language

To create your first challenge, begin by selecting the subject and language you wish to use.

Creating a Subject

If you have a specific topic in mind, provide a detailed prompt-like description that includes all the necessary information for Meiro to produce the best result possible.

Here are some good examples:

Create a competency test for senior-level marketing specialists that covers a wide range of topics, including market research, strategy, branding, and digital marketing.

Create an essay question for a history final exam on the American Civil War. The question should require students to analyze the main causes and consequences of the conflict, using specific examples and historical context.

Create a short-answer question for a geography quiz about world capitals. Ask the students to name the capital city of a specific country and provide a hint related to its location or cultural significance.

Create a test for a high school biology test on cell structure. The test should assess students' knowledge of the functions of cell organelles.

Here are some examples of poor prompts:

Make a test question about history.
โ€‹This prompt lacks specificity and does not provide any guidance on the topic, format, or intended level of difficulty for the test question, making it difficult for the AI to generate a meaningful question.

Make a test question about history.

This prompt lacks specificity and does not provide any guidance on the topic, format, or intended level of difficulty for the test question, making it difficult for the AI to generate a meaningful question

Create a question about science.

Similar to the first example, this prompt is too broad and does not specify which branch of science, topic, or type of question is required. It leaves too much room for interpretation

Generate a true/false question about whether water boils at 100 degrees Celsius. Make it tricky but also easy to answer.

This prompt is contradictory because it asks for a question that is both tricky and easy to answer, which is unclear and confusing. It does not provide a clear direction for the AI to follow in creating a test question.

Choosing Language

Meiro supports multiple languages, including ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง English, ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช German, ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท French, ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Italian, ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ Spanish, and ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Russian. However, we are constantly working on adding more.

This setting affects the general content language, action buttons, and descriptions. Later on, you will be able to change the challenge language in the settings, but the content itself will remain as it was generated.

Step 2: Number of Questions, Answers, and Results

To create your challenge, you will need to set the following parameters:

  • Number of questions to include in the challenge (15 on Trial, 40 on paid plans)

  • Number of answer options for each question (4 on Trial, 6 on paid plans)

  • Number of results you want to generate (4 on Trial, 6 on paid plans)

A bit more about the Results

Each result will have its own range based on the number of correct answers. For example, if you have 10 questions in your challenge, you can create two results that will be valid for ranges of 0-5 correct answers and 6-10 correct answers.

In editing mode, you can always modify this range or add additional options later.

Step 3: Difficulty, Tone of Voice, and AI Model

We'll need you to provide some important details that will help us tailor the AI-generated content to your specific needs and preferences. Don't worry, it's easy!

Difficulty level

You have three options to choose from: easy, medium, or hard. Depending on the level you choose, the AI will adjust its output accordingly. If you're not sure which level is best for you, we recommend starting with โ€˜easyโ€™ and working your way up.

AI model

We offer two choices of AI models based on GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.

  • GPT-3.5 is a great option if you're looking for fast and reliable results, but it may be less creative than GPT-4.

  • On the other hand, if you're willing to wait a bit longer for your content, GPT-4 is best for producing more unique and creative outputs.

Tone of voice

You can choose from a variety of options, including funny, friendly, serious, expert, mysterious, sarcastic, casual, or none of the above. This will help the AI understand the tone you're going for and produce content that matches your preferences.

Once you've provided all of these important details, simply click the Start AI Magic button and watch as the AI goes to work, generating content that is tailored specifically to your needs and preferences.

Step 4: Preview

This is the final step before creating the full version of your challenge. Here, you can preview the result. If it looks good, press the green button labeled Create full version.

Note that you can always tailor the generated content to your specific needs and make any necessary corrections in the 'Editing mode' of your challenge later.

If you're not satisfied with the result, you can still go back a few steps and change whatever you need to change. In this case, click on 'Regenerate' and choose whether you need to regenerate from scratch or with the same parameters.

Note that getting an identical result in the second generation is impossible, even if you make minimal changes.

Enjoy the result

After creating the full version you'll be redirected to a challenge editing mode. Here you can navigate through blocks, add covers, customize, and edit content if you need to.

Don't forget to publish your challenge or it won't go live.
