Understand the difference between score-based and answer-based challenge types

Currently, Meiro offers a user the following challenge options generation:

  • Score-based challenge

  • Answer-based challenge

Below, you can find more information on the differences in the results calculation between those two types.

Score-Based Challenge

Score-based challenges are a type of competitive activity where participants aim to achieve the highest possible score within a given framework. These challenges can be found in various contexts, for example, academic tests and professional skill assessments.

Scores are used as a quantitative measure in results, providing a clear and objective way to rank participants. They provide immediate feedback, allowing participants to gauge their performance and identify areas for improvement.

Answer-Based Challenge

Answer-based challenges focus on the accuracy and correctness of responses rather than accumulating points. These are commonly used in quizzes, exams, and assessments where each answer directly impacts the final result.

Each participant's answer is linked to a specific result, meaning that every response corresponds to a particular outcome. As the quiz progresses, these answers collectively shape the participant's profile. By the end of the quiz, the accumulated answers are analyzed to determine the probability of various personality traits, providing a probabilistic interpretation of the participant's overall personality.
